It’s been confirmed that Pokemon UNITE is closing its doors and ending service on March 23, 2027 – both on mobile and Nintendo Switch. This comes after over five years of service, as the game first launched in July 2021.
As a result of the incoming shutdown, you can no longer purchase Aeos gems and any active subscriptions will end. The game will run a special event starting on November 12 that will let you earn special Unite Coins that can be swapped for in-game items and cosmetics.
After the game shuts down, online matches will become unplayable. You can, however, still use a new library feature to view your play stats, Pokemon, achievements, and cosmetics that you earned and used over the years. You’ll also be able to use practice mode.
The news was dropped on Pokemon UNITE’s official website.
