Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War Global Version Shutting Down November 30

UserJoy has announced that the global version of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War will officially shut down on November 30, 2026, across PC and mobile following its 2024 launch.

Once service ends, players will no longer be able to access the game or its online features. The shutdown process has already begun, with all in-game purchases and paid currency transactions disabled. However, players can continue accessing existing content until the servers go offline.

No specific reason for the decision was provided in the announcement.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War is an anime set between Trails of Cold Steel II and Trails of Cold Steel III that tells what happened during that time.

The series introduces a new original cast that gradually becomes involved with key characters from the games. The full anime is available to watch on Crunchyroll.

The story follows the new character Lavian Winslet, a member of the Northern Jaegers raised in North Ambria. She teams up with Martin, Iseria, and Talion to infiltrate Erebonia and learn about a threat by the name of Rean Schwarzer.
