Developer and publisher Alientrap has released DuneCrawl and its giant armed crab adventure to Android. The game first launched on PC in January this year. And alongside mobile, the game also launched on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S today.
Explore a huge desert full of islands, enemies, dungeons, and loot while riding around on a gigantic crustacean called a Crab Crawler. You can play as a solo Crab Keeper with help from a ghostly companion, or team up with up to three friends for local or online co-op.
So, DuneCrawl has dungeon crawling, island exploration, and chaotic co-op
Your ride comes equipped with black powder cannons. You use them while travelling through the sandy seas and dealing with whatever decides to get in your way.
There’s also an actual war going on, where you’ll be fighting the jar-headed Vassals and trying to help the Polloi pilgrims push back against the Ceramicist’s invasion. Along the way, you have to survive hordes of wild bugs, explore oasis islands, take on quests, discover secret dungeons, and collect as much loot as you can find.
You can collect Masks, Tunics, and Talismans to unlock powerful new abilities, while weapons like the Buzzooka and Acid Harpoon give you more ways to deal with enemies. You can upgrade your Crab Crawler with Spike Armoured legs and Guided Torpedoes.
DuneCrawl also lets you team up with friends and travel around on multi-saddle Beetles. You get to zip across the landscape on skittering Nymphs or charge straight into trouble on armoured Scorpions and Ball Bugs.
DuneCrawl is up for grabs on the Google Play Store with a 20% launch discount available until November 2nd, 2026. The full game costs $14.99, which grants access on both mobile and PC.
