Mobile RPG ‘Medabots S’ Global Release Announced; Pre-Registration Available Now

Imagineer has announced the global release of Medabots S, the smartphone-based RPG of the franchise. Release timing hasn’t been revealed yet, but pre-registration is already available for Android users on Google Play and for iOS users on App Store.

Medabots S lets players face matches of 3vs3 using their customized robots in a format similar to the console RPGs. It’s possible to mix and match the parts, taking into account Head, Right Arm, Left Arm and Legs.

According to the developers, the game features a completely original story and fan-favorite characters from various different parts of the series. In a teaser on their official X/Twitter account, the team shows various protagonists from the numbered games:

The video also shows a bit of the gameplay elements, like using many items to power up those parts you already have and the turn-based combat. Like in the console games, attacks may hit different parts of the enemy, affecting their performance in battle.

It’s also possible to see some classic Medabots, like Metabee, Rokusho, Sailor-Multi, Waarbonnet, Blackmail, and more. In Japan, Medabots S has been running for over 6 years and has over 320 different robots. There have been previous collaborations with other IPs, including Digimon, Mega Man Battle Network and Ultraman there.
