Lil Laundry Lane Is a Cosy Laundromat Sim in a Hand-painted Watercolour Town

Lil Laundry Lane is a cosy laundromat simulator for mobile and PC. Developed and published by indie studio Smoketree Studios, it lets you have some relaxing time doing laundry in a little watercolour town. While the laundry might be dirty, the environment is pretty beautiful.

So, you run your own laundry shop, meet the locals, and spend your days washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes. It’s situated in the small town of Sudsville where you’ll be taking orders from neighbourhood regulars.

Each garment moves through your shop from left to right, with different tools and stations handling the various stages. You’ll start with the basics, including a lint roller, washer, dryer, and iron, before unlocking more equipment. Later on, you’ll even unlock some magical Fairies to help with the workload. God, I need that in real life!

The money you earn goes towards unlocking new services, upgrading your equipment, and making the shop more efficient with automation. You get more than 60 shop items, including additional station capacity and longer operating hours.

Lil Laundry Lane also lets you customise the laundromat with different wallpapers, flooring, desk decorations, and wall decor. Want a tip jar, a lucky cat, a gumball machine, a coffee machine, a regal backdrop, or some stone flooring? You can get ‘em!

Lil Laundry Lane is not just about washing someone’s dirty clothes, okay?

The town has plenty of odd little personalities, including someone who really loves meatballs, a person who’s practically inseparable from their cats, a soccer mom, a butcher, a vampire, and even a mermaid. You’ll meet almost 30 characters, with five short chapters introducing different groups of customers and their stories.

And no matter what, the best part about Lil Laundry Lane is its visuals. A hand-crafted watercolour style with soft edges and plenty of little details around the laundromat. The textures and gently layered colours give the laundromat and its surroundings a more lively yet calm feeling.
