Dispatch Surpasses 5 Million Players as Anniversary Trailer Reveals New Modes

AdHoc Studio has released a new anniversary trailer for its episodic superhero workplace comedy Dispatch, celebrating one year since the game’s debut and confirming that the game has surpassed five million players. The anniversary brings a free Deluxe Edition update featuring two new behind-the-scenes modes, alongside a December 9, 2026, mobile release date and additional announcements. In case you missed it, check out our review.

The Deluxe Edition update introduces Commentary Mode and Storyboard Mode, giving players a closer look at the game’s development. Commentary Mode features over 16 hours of recordings from the cast and development team, including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, and Erin Yvette. Players can switch between cast and crew commentary tracks throughout all eight episodes, with discussions changing based on their in-game choices.

Storyboard Mode lets players experience the entire game through its original storyboard animatics, showing how AdHoc planned its cinematic sequences and character performances. Commentary can also be enabled during Storyboard Mode, allowing players to hear the development team’s discussions while watching the early versions of each scene.

Both modes are available now as a free update for Deluxe Edition owners on supported platforms. Standard Edition players can purchase the Deluxe upgrade for $10.99, which also includes a digital art book and four digital comics.

AdHoc also announced that Dispatch will launch on Android and iOS on December 9, 2026, with support for Google Play Games on PC. The mobile version supports touch controls and vertical play, with the first four episodes available for free. Players can purchase the complete game for $19.99. Pre-registration through Google Play and pre-orders on the App Store will open soon.

The anniversary celebration also includes Dispatch: Night Shift, a one-night concert taking place at AVALON Hollywood in Los Angeles on December 3. Composer Andrew Arcadi and the SDN Company Band will perform alongside THOT SQUAD, Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury, and Fartbarf. Limited tickets will be offered to AdHoc Studio email subscribers first.

New merchandise is also on the way, including shirts, hoodies, and signed posters featuring artwork by art director Derek Stratton. The four comics previously exclusive to the Deluxe Edition are receiving a physical release, while Lost In Cult is preparing a Dispatch: Design Works hardcover book and collectible box.

Originally released in October 2025, Dispatch follows Robert Robertson, a former superhero who takes a job managing a team of reformed villains. The game combines dialogue choices, character relationships, and superhero dispatch management across an eight-episode story.
