TALESWEAVER MOBILE MMORPG Announced for Korea

NEXON has announced the new TALESWEAVER MOBILE MMORPG, releasing at some point on iOS and Android devices in Korea. Registration for a Focus Group Test (FGT) is now live in the region until November 15.

The MMORPG “brings the original world, distinctive characters, and charming graphics” to a new audience. It features simple controls and optimized fast-paced combat. The Focus Group Test will take place on December 12, 2026. NEXON has also released the first trailer for TALESWEAVER MOBILE, which you can check out below:

The original TALESWEAVER first launched in 2003 as an online RPG on PC. It is based on the popular fantasy novel Children of Rune by author Jeon Min-hee. Fans have followed the series for over 20 years due to its narrative-driven gameplay, lyrical graphics and soundtrack, and combo-based combat. To this day, TALESWEAVER is still considered of Nexon’s signature classic IP. Currently, it is unknown if TALESWEAVER MOBILE will release in other regions. However, considering that the original TALESWEAVER is currently unavailable in other regions, it is unlikely.

Recently, NEXON announced that it will be publishing the Japanese version of Blue Archive and handling the game’s service operations in the country. Blue Archive producer Yongha Kim stated that the development team will work closely with Yostar as the transition is being made in order to ensure that they preserve players’ progress, memories, and experience.

The transition from Yostar to NEXON will begin in January 2027, with Blue Archive planned to go into maintenance as the publisher change is completed. Players will earn free rewards once maintenance is complete, with more details to be revealed on the game’s official Japanese website. NEXON currently publishes the global version of Blue Archive, which is available now for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam in English.
